I did not have very many memories of my childhood until about age 45 when health suddenly started to go way way down hill. I guess prior to my losses, I really had no reason to look back at what seemed my happier carefree times. Life was much simpler as a pre-teen early teens kid. It was through on shorts, and tennis shoes, forget the socks because wet socks were not fun.
Due to work life I got in the habit of having to plan things, I was a shift worker, so coordinating outings with friends was not an easy thing to do. I am wondering what thoughts will percolate to the forefront of my mind as I continue to age, to enter the next phase of life. Like our bodies our minds do change and grow and sometimes fail us as we age.
