I keep seeing all this doom and gloom reporting on small business in most of the USA, up here in Alaska there is also doom and gloom reporting from the lower 48 about Alaska and it's economy, nothing could be further from the truth. There has been a lot of private sector building, of new businesses being opened, Starbucks Coffee is even trying again to move in with a new store.

It has always been hard to trust the "Media", but it would seem like they are trying to make Alaska a very dirty word and a lost cause in the lower 48, and one has to wonder why the effort to trash Alaska.

We simply have not had the problems these last two years almost as the rest of America.
