As expected yesterday was a pretty busy day, and a pretty cold day to boot. I do not think it got above 0F/-17C all day. We did have clear skies and I got to see one small, very very small cloud that looked like a lightening bolt. The sun sits pretty low on the horizon at this time of year and can make for a really bad blinding drive at times. Fortunately most of the drive was away from the sun and by the time we started heading home the sun was already below the horizon mostly.

I will be glad when this next 30 days pass and the sun starts to ride a little bit higher in the sky instead of at windshield level. It is hard enough to stop when you can see whats ahead on the icy roads, and even more difficult to see when the sun is at this low angle, fortunately almost everyone drives with lights on and pump the brakes when stopping to turn so you get good warning.

Today, I think I will stay home. There was a lot of traffic yesterday.
