It has been pretty close to normal for us. Since the beginning, I have stopped shopping at two locations due to their mandates, so the store loses, and the gas station loses. For me I like to support local when I can, so for gas my local is now about 35 miles away, but since we visit the area at least once a week, no hardship on me. One of our old favorite coffee place has finally, after one year, began to sell it product at the big local box store, unfortunately one year to late so we support the San Francisco brand of dark roast coffee. We recently had a brand new Star Bucks Coffee place built and opened just last week, so where I live things are a bit better than current normal down in the Lower 48. We have/had a lot of new building during the last two years covid or no covid. Several homes built in a new burb, all of which seem to have been sold. But people should avoid the area, after all, all the local newspapers,(we have one), and the national news outlets are all talking and warning people about the one guy that died of covid in the little town close to us. Oh and before people think about moving they should also read and pay attention to just how awful and depressed the economy is in the area I live.

So things are pretty much fine up here, still waiting on that first real snowfall, it is getting colder though.
