That is going to happen in lots of places, people are people. Not all people on Hive care a whole lot about the size of the rewards on post. I read a lot more than I post, I comment a lot more than I post.

I like having a lot of variety when it comes to entertaining myself. That was what bought me to Steem, the variety of stories I could read by budding writers and established writers, then i found lots and lots of other forms of entertainment on Steem/Hive.

Even the rants and woe-is-me for lack of reward post I sometimes find entertaining. I think the people that like to post, that are here for the rewards only, have a little bit of tunnel vision, I am sure there are other people like myself that the primary reason for being on Hive is entertaining ones self.

I like the rewards, don't get me wrong on that, but it is not the be-all end-all of why I use Hive. I never saw stuff that interested me a lot on FB or on YT, perhaps their algorithms did not take my likes into account, or perhaps I like making my own choices, Hive gives us a lot of choice.
