I don't follow who is down voting who. If I see someone being down voted especially in the comments section, and they are relevant comments to the post, then I try to find out why. Their comments are there they are just collapsed and a person needs to open them.

All those you mention are allowed to have their own opinion. There is no social reason why people should not be able to voice an opinion that is not mainstream, or pushes little snowflakes over the edge, because they can not deal with the topic.

If an individual does not like the opinion, they can down vote it if they want it is their vote, If you or I or anyone else disagrees with the down vote we can always up vote it. It doesn't matter why people down vote any more than it matters why they up vote people.
