I think as an investment token that you hit the nail head on. No doubt that LBI could do serious damage to people, but that damage will come back to haunt LBI, it will limit the ability to expand it's investments. If LBI went on a down vote spree and then decided it wanted to invest a portion of its wealth in another tribe, that tribe could simply mute LBI out of fear they are coming after their users.
The mute function needs to be used much more often than it is. Removing an annoyance from your view, and ensuring they are also muted on any auto vote list will eventually solve the problem. My mute list is slowly growing, over on steem I had something like 300+ people muted. Most spam bot, or serial down voters, and a good amount of plagiarist.
Others voted for them, but that is other people their vote their voice, how someone votes most of the time does not bother me. If I have a question as to why a post got down voted, I'll simply as the person in a comment why, I'll either agree and mute the account or not. Simple. No harm other than a withdrawal of previous support.
