If you are still in Alaska, and like to fish, then I would suggest a trip to Homer and some Halibut fishing. You might get lucky and get to haul a really big one in, it feels like trying to haul a barn door off the bottom of the ocean, and there is no fish quite as nice tasting as Halibut.

For a pretty decent meal out, and good soup the Bistro is not to bad, it has been several years since I ate at Michaels in Soldotna, but they used to be pretty good.
