Well it is not really a post, just a comment, and well it isn't very amusing. I guess I could have commented on the time I was full speed down the hill really flying on that new ten speed peddling as fast as I could while I flew down that hill, then the black spot in the road, it flashes in my mind, this is not going to end well. Hot day, about 95 in California middle of the summer. Pot hole or patch? was screaming in my mind, no where to turn nowhere to go, three second decision, brain freezes on the thought of .... oh shit I am going to hit ... and hit I did, fresh patched pot hole, not set yet, still hot, tire sinks, bike stops, screaming kid on the bike doesn't stop...my bike...my bike...as I fly over the handle bars, hand scrapes along the road, bit of fresh tar gets embedded in my palm, my chin breaks open....who the hell cares I think...my bike my bike. Front wheel is toast, crunched folded like a wet noodle. Not even a month old. My poor poor bike. It had handle bar scars for the rest of it's life, new seat and new tire, a few chin stitches, and life was good once again. Back on the road.
