Hello and welcome to #mountainmonday. This is my second week of hosting, Feel free to drop your link in the comments, it may or may not add to the visibility of your post. If the first picture in your post is not a mountain, I may not resteem it. If your post is about the mountain, I will vote on it however, and likely comment.
The river is the Kasilof River in Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula. On nice days you can see Mt Redoubt, or Redoubt Volcano, (it is known by both names), in the center of the picture. You get a nicer view of it on the bridge, but it really is not a bridge that is safe for pedestrians or stopping to take a picture.
This panoramic shot was of five photo's. Five seem to work out pretty well with this program I am currently using called "autostitch". I use the demo version and am very happy with the results.
I am still very new to digital photography and am learning a lot each outing. Part of that learning is the processing and artistic effects that can be done with today's photo software. Here is a bit closer view of the mountain.
In this image I experimented with the depth of field settings, it allows one area to remain in focus while blurring the outer edges. I do kind of like the effect, but need some work with it still. One thing I have a hard time doing is getting that deep blue sky going, but I will figure it out. We did have some clouds and weather moving in on Friday, and the mountain is over sixty miles away. I guess pastel blue sky really isn't to bad to look at, I just prefer the deep rich blue sky, that really makes the mountains pop out..

Well that concludes my Mountain Monday. I do hope a few of you will share your mountain views with the rest of the Steem world. Whether you be busy or esteeming in partiko or steempeak'ing about steem.
So as promised last week, this is my #mountainmonday post on Sunday. Hope to see a few tomorrow on my Monday.
