Air Conditioned Drive
It was Tuesday yesterday, so we went for a northern drive out of town to see what the Moose River looked like and to check and see if the road was open yet. Last week on Tuesday the road was still covered in snow.
The snow on the road was gone, and a big plus was that it was dry and firm. I am not sure what the mountain name in the distance is, but it is nice being able to see mountains in the distance of a lot of roads in Alaska. (or valleys if your in the mountains).
It was a warm day, we had to use the air conditioner. I know a lot of you will laugh and think I'm nuts, but at 61 degrees Fahrenheit and a lot of sun shining in and on the car, it got hot. Not full bore air conditioning, just enough to feel comfortable 3 or 4 notches from heat to air conditioning, and fan down on first step. two weeks ago it was still in the 30's for us.

Soon there will be boats and planes on the river taking people all over the area for fishing excursions and sight seeing.
It is difficult to get a nice no busy looking image of the fisherman's stairways to heaven:
Okay they really are not stairs to heaven or nowhere for the fishermen, When fishing season opens they will be lowered into the river for the boats to tie up to while the owner goes to get his truck and then pull the boat out with the boat trailer.
We once again had to use the air conditioner on our grocery run this afternoon, like yesterday we enjoyed 61 degrees, it is a bit early for the heat but we did have a pretty warm winter. It just feels odd jumping past the 40's into the 50's and 60's. It is going to be an interesting summer weather wise I think.
