CITY LIGHTS FROM A TRAFFIC JAM
Iligan City is one of the richest city in the whole Philippines. It has approximately 342,618 population and consist of 44 barangays. It is commonly known as "City of Waterfalls". I guess right now, its population increases because of the migrant from Marawi City.
Before, from home to school and vise versa, it could only takes up to 10-15 minutes riding 2 jeepneys daily but right now it takes 30-60 minutes. The worst thing about it is that I can't ride a jeepney right away because all of the jeepneys are always full with passengers. At 3pm onwards, you can observe and see people in the street waiting for a jeepney or riding a motorcycle as it is the most convenient transportation in our locality nowadays.
Comparing the fare in a motorcycle and jeepney:
Jeepney
•Regular for every 3-4km (not sure though)Php 7.50
•Disable/Student/SP- Php 6.00
Motorcycle:
•It always depends on the rider and how far it is (usually Php 20-above)
So, it is really obvious that riding a jeepney can save more money than in a motorcycle. That's why, most people prefer to wait a slot/seat in a jeepney.
Last night, I've decided to went home walking and strolling around while eating something in the street. While walking, I realized that even if it is really tiring and exhausting to walked alone, the city lights coming from the cars and houses are very mesmerizing and beautiful.
