I read books in my childhood. Both my parents, grandparents and aunts were readers and reading a book was as important as eating daily. It's pretty hard to choose just a title.
There were books on my father's shelves, and sometimes people borrowed books and never gave them back. My buddies and I gathered comic books and magazines like tinkle and tied them up. Now they're like treasures to me.
If I choose one, I can say that the Digest collection has affected me a lot. From 1960 on, my father forced the issues and still a few remained. I've read some of the issues and read it again and kept it safely.
The old issues reflect the class of the press in those days. Unfortunately, it is now more of a commercial-oriented universe.
I read the philosophy books and it impressed me. In fact, bilingual individuals can consciously change their personalities as they move from one personal language to another.
