Hello, my friends!
Remember when I started talking about my winter memories?
And I promised to continue!
Now is the time!
Outside my window, outside, it’s very hot. 40 degrees Celsius.
The sun is sending its burning rays to my room right now.
But I kept the curtains tight so the house would have a shadow.
I keep thinking about the cold winter!
Sketch 5. The mountains around me
I keep walking through our winter mountain Beshtau.
And I go up - higher - on the ring road around the mountain, then there is a beautiful view of the area!
You can see it from above!
You can even see the very far super-summit of the North Caucasus - the two-headed mountain Elbrus!
Elbrus is located in the neighbouring republic of Kabardino-Balkaria.
It’s a very famous mountain!
Europe’s highest ridge.
Elbrus is a mountain that many climbers love to climb.
And if you look the other way from Elbrus, you can see another small mountain of our city.
It’s funny that the mountain used to be called Green - there was a thick forest on it.
Beautiful floral meadows grew on the slopes.
But now the mountain is called Scab...
And why? Because people have disfigured a mountain - excavated it - they’ve dug for rubble.
Now half of a beautiful mountain is in a mountain quarry.
But in winter, Mount Scab is also covered by snow.
But you can see another mountain from above!
This mountain is called Ostraja!
Also very beautiful - in summer at the foot of it flowers, a thick green forest bloom.
There is a special climbing platform on this mountain.
And in the summer, there are training and mountaineering competitions.
Sketch 6. Greetings from the mountain
I keep walking on winter mountain Beshtau.
At first, I feel like everything is dead in the cold. Everybody’s asleep.
But it is not!
The mountain welcomes me and it greets me!
Don’t you believe it?
Look, this bush is wearing a glove and waving «Hello!» to me!
Everything is white around me, all in the snow.
But then the autumn greetings come!
Yellow sheet of maple on snow! Hello, leaf!
A real minimalist portrait.
A small piece of dry moss on a white canvas!
The frost is fierce in nature. Everything is covered with snow...
But the mountain has decided to welcome me with a living green sprout of oak!
Miracle! How does this green baby live in winter?
Hello, little oak tree!
Sketch 7. My companions
Sometimes on my winter walk in Nature, I’m accompanied by unexpected hitchhikers!
They don’t know me at all.
But they’d love to accompany me on my walk.
I’ll only show you two good dogs.
She met a funny red dog.
The dog reminded me of the Kashtanka Chekhov told me about.
This dog was kind and cheerful!
She was often digging snow.
Probably looking for a mouse 😀
To catch a mouse and give it to me 😍
My companion was a white dog!
He was happy to join me for a winter stroll, too.
When I walk with such good dogs, the walk can be fun!
Sketch 8. My favorite white snow
I want to finish my winter memories with a drawing of snow!❤️
That winter, when I photographed these landscapes on the mountain, a lot of snow fell.
Whole snowballs of white, pure snow!
Snow on a rock...
The snow on the tree branch...
Snowballs are everywhere!
And how beautiful it is!
But such a snowy winter is rare in the Caucasus...
The climate on Planet Earth is changing.
Our Russian winters are getting shorter and warmer.
Snow doesn’t come often. And frosts don’t.
In winter, it’s mostly mud and mud 😞
I want to see the real Russian winter again!
These are my memories of the Russian winter!
