Last week, a press conference was held at the Flor de Venezuela monument in the eastern part of the city. The purpose was to announce all the details of the musical event that El Sistema Lara has prepared to celebrate its 50 years of musical training for children and young people. El Sistema de Orquestas is a national system, and each state has its own regional organization. Each regional system is divided into different centers. For example, in the state of Lara, there are numerous centers: El Tocuyo, Carora, Duaca, Cuji Tamaca, José Félix Ribas, Cabudare, among others. In each center, children and young people receive training and education. It is a system that has been operating for over a century. Some states in the country have a slightly longer history, but it is in Lara that its 50th anniversary will be celebrated. ---- > La semana pasada se realizó una conferencia de prensa en el monumento Flor de Venezuela, en la zona este de la ciudad. The two representatives, one from the national level and the other from the regional level, welcomed the media and provided information about the event. They have prepared a spectacular concert, unprecedented in the city, for next Saturday, May 30th. All the centers in the state will be present; according to official figures, more than five thousand members of the System's centers will be on stage, performing a repertoire ranging from classical pieces to more contemporary melodies. They made it very clear that it will be a grand musical spectacle that will surprise everyone. Best of all, admission will be completely free, open to the public who wish to come and enjoy and participate in this celebration. Now, where could this take place? There are more than five thousand children and young people, in addition to all the technical and logistical equipment. This is where one of the main sponsors of this celebration comes in. The venue will be the Antonio Herrera Gutiérrez Stadium, the baseball stadium of the Cardenales de Lara. After the question-and-answer session, individual interviews were conducted with each media outlet, and attendees enjoyed a short musical performance by some members of El Sistema, bringing the afternoon at La Flor de Venezuela to a close. This show promises to be excellent.
