It was good at the time because they were under the law and they weren't following it. The law was for the Jews. The law with its 613 parts was fulfilled with the death of Christ on the cross. We're not under the law. We don't have to observe the Sabbath nor do we have to provide animals for sacrifice for our sins. Nor do we need a levitical priesthood today.
