The Jeremiah verse has nothing to do with Christians. God is talking to Israel as a nation as they go into a 70 year exile in Babylon. God says that after 70 years he will bring them back to their own land. That he has a plan for Israel. Not necessarily for the individual Israelites. Most of whom will die during the 70 year exile.
Maybe God does have a plan for our lives but those verses don't prove it.
