It's important to note that the Jewish law was given to the Jews. We're no longer under the law since Jesus rose from the dead. So the Sabbath and the dietary laws are no longer necessary to be observed. The apostles didn't mention those as necessary to observe when giving instructions to gentile believers. We also don't have to marry our brother's widow if she failed to produce a son. We don't have to stone blasphemers or adulterers or those who desecrate the Sabbath.
