God wants us to love him above all over things and our neighbor as our self. God wants our love for him to be expressed in obedience. Rituals don't save you. You're not saved by baptism. Baptism is supposed to be an outward expression of accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Communion doesn't save you either. Unlike what the Catholic Church teaches, there's no special blessing in either ritual. Certainly there is no value in your being baptized without your knowledge and consent when you were a baby.
