Yesterday first ski mountaineering trip of the year, in Dolomiti!
Mountains are magic.
I have been here many times, but never with skis and skins under sky.
Thirty years ago I walked in these places many times, reading Dino Buzzati stories under rocks, waiting for the sunset. I love these places, there is a sort of mystery and beauty, hugged together.
To see again Odle after many year, I have felt a nostalgic feeling. Sometimes I didn't recognize rocks, so it was like to be here for the first time, but with a strong memory of something lived like in another life.

We climbed up from Chiusa town to a pass with a summit, called Zendleser Kofel (at the right of the map):
The slopes was a bit hard, but condition was good. Only a bit of frozen snow:
