Hello to all!

Here I'll show you the beauty of Alps at high altitude!
We are on Tête Blanche summit, between Aosta valley and Swiss.

Reaching Tête Blanche is easy but long. We started the day before, reaching Amiante refugee (also called Chiarella), placed at almost 3000 meters above By valley.
It was august, but it has been a snowfall!

After a good dinner (refugee was managed by Ligurian people, so we ate a tasty 'pasta al pesto'), and a short sleep (it was very cold during night, despite of the use of all blankets we found), we left the refugee before sunrise to reach Tête Blanche summit.
I got lost with the dark (I didn't remember well the way), but finally we found it!
Here Amiante refugee even smaller in the distance:

And here the sunrise on mont Velan:

On the right side, Mont Morion with its surreal ridge:

And Grande Tête de By (3588 meters high) on the left:

Last steps before summit!

Aosta city 3500 meters below:

Finally, the summit!

It is one of the most wonderful place to admire main summits of Alps, from Mount Blanc to Mount Rosa.... Sea of clouds towards Swiss valleys:

We are under Grand Combin, the giant with its 4300 meters high and its vertiginous icy and rocky walls. I have climbed it in 2004 (Grand Combin, climbing south-east ridge ):

Landscape was incredible. We stayed half an hour here, to watch and to make pictures.

On the right of the image, Cervino (Matterhorn):

Mount Rosa appeared above sea of clouds (like a huge dinosaur back), at the right of Cervino:

Mount Velan:

Summital ridge:

Mont Morion:

Mont Gelé (Frozen mountain):

In the distance the triple and beautiful peaks of Aiguilles Rouges (Swiss):

This side of Grand Combin seems like a Egyptian pyramid!

Again, some pictures of me and my friend sese8@sese8 :

A foggy wave passed through the summit ridge:

It is time to come back...

Footprints on snow... Maybe an ibex?

Thanks for reading!
Happy to have shared with you my love for mountains!
