What say I (without writing an essay about it)? How about this - that's a BIG understatement! :D Depending on what one's experience has been in terms of bringing hidden/suppressed/esoteric info to the surface, this 'problem' has been Big or Enormous and it certainly still exists.

YOU know from your own experience how this plays out of course!

I've tried to express my thoughts on what I've seen going on and I'll link them here without repeating (1, 2, 3).

Why do 'powerful' folk (who control the censors and the art of censorship) wish to see such material sink and why does this kind of 'censorship' exist? Why not just let stuff be, DYOR and folk can decide for themselves the validity of whackiness of whatever? Why does it almost always seem to the 'censored' that this kind of censorship is never about the content itself and seems to be almost entirely ideological? And why is this stuff picking up speed now, on Hive, at this time in particular? Can Information itself be dangerous?

Fuck me if I can answer that and I ain't passing the question on to the next in line for the VY Bolt lol, but the discussion below does a great job of attempting to answer from a psychological perspective (doesn't mention Hive tho' :).

As to what one can do?

• hope that VYB and other proposed or implemented solutions to this can alleviate/overcome the issue :). Hope that the kind of shit that 'The Truther Content' warns about - encroaching totalitarian control over every aspect of life presented as 'for our own good' - doesn't mean that Hive degenerates into an evolved version of Fakebook. Hope that we (collectively) begin to realise that (1) shit IS happening (2) we are in this together (3) we are being played against one-another, at many levels
• understand that a lot (all?) of this is emotionally driven and thus express oneself without violence (anger, reacting in kind, gratification + generally being emotionally driven). Best shot IMO of not triggering an emotional response over and above whatever the 'default' of the 'censor' is at the time; at being heard by whoever needs to hear the msg; at being clear and not providing 'excuses' for 'censor' to play victim and 'censor' even more ('censor' usually has 'narrative control'); and best shot at finding a 'solution' (way out/through) in a state of consciousness which is not the same as that in which the problem itself arose.
