I have targeted this ad which is the art itself to New York City,
To people who engage with liberal politics online and have a net worth of one million to 2 million.
Here is my cost for two days to reach 210-900 a day and get 7-42 likes a day.
The cost to reach half of this group a day is $200.
So I held an online performance art piece disguised as a Facebook targeted dark ad.
The results for the two day performance are in.
It was for the people of New York city who engage with liberal politics online and have a net worth of one million to 2 million.
203 people saw the art and the cost was $9.97. I received zero likes on the art. It did not quite meet the estimates Facebook advertised.
My stats for NY did go up and Facebook did allocate a good spread of ages and gender.
Overall it was not quite what I expected. Next time I will try some art that is more compelling and target a different audience.
Perhaps I can get people who like The Handmaid's to come try out the Holy Roller. Or maybe there is a way to target followers of Dominionism Theology.
