This work is very special because it is the only photomanipulation I made in 2023. This is incredible because for more than 10 years I dedicated myself to it without rest - I must have more than 800 works with this technique. I am an artist who is always experimenting and looking for new forms and tools but it is also true that I love to go deep, so I get the most out of everything I propose to do or explore. That's why I spent so much time dedicating myself to photographic manipulation, perfecting and complexifying the process and the results. But there came a time when I felt that I had reached the maximum in this area and I got into photography passionately, falling in love and delving into every technique, going from the most elementary which is pinhole photography, to digital, developing my own films, making soups, homemade filters and everything that would help me to better show my vision of the world, of life, of human beings and other realities.
So here I am, with a new work made with a technique that I love and that I know too well but that I have left in a drawer to, from time to time, revisit it and delight myself with the results and all that it inspires in me.

Totally obsessed with textures. Photomanipulation has taken me to the highest places in terms of what textures produce, well used, in a digital work.
I have often said that digital lacks soul and one must find ways to imbue (digital) works with this, and textures are a big part of achieving this.
I decided to finish this piece thanks to the #girlsgang event we organized with the Women's Museum, on the Tezos blockchain. So if it hadn't been for this maybe 2023 would have passed without any photomanipulation in my digital art portfolio.
