This collection consists of four 1x1 meter artworks combining oil painting and collage; they incorporate pages from an antique book of Hafez Shirazi’s poetry alongside the colorful sands of Hormuz Island. As a poet who also paints, I have a deep love for the works of the Iranian poet Hafez Shirazi. I decided to immortalize the surviving pages of a nearly century-old edition of his poetry by affixing them to canvases and surrounding them with traditional paintings inspired by his verses. I hope you enjoy these images, and I conclude by dedicating a couplet from this great poet to you
