Hello everyone, this morning I want to share some pictures of a butterfly named Zizina labradus making out with her partner, but I don't know which butterfly is male or female, but my guess is that the larger wing is the female, I hope my guess is not wrong. I think they are in the process of mating. They were in this position for a very long time, in fact he had moved from this wooden branch to another but remained in the same position.
I shot the Zizina labradus butterfly with a smartphone camera and I also added a macro lens to photograph it, because the Zizina labradus butterfly I found was very small.
The Zizina labradus butterfly species are easy to find in the grass, they like to play in the grass or small logs to look for the Zizina labradus butterfly. I don't have to go to the forest, it is easy to get, even on the grass in front of the house. It has a purple color on its upper wings, but the upper wings of the Zizina labradus butterfly I couldn't shoot, because I only used a simple camera when I brought the camera lens closer to it, it flew away from me. While the color of the lower wings has a brown color, there are also some black spots that adorn the color of the brown wings. A simple combination.
How does the Zizina labradus butterfly grow? I found the answer from wikipedia.
Single eggs are laid which can hatch in a matter of days. The eggs are laid on leaves, stems, flower buds and young pods of food plants, chiefly legumes of the family Fabaceae such as beans, clover, and various native species. Newly hatched larvae eat small holes from young leaves or flower buds, and later feed mainly inside flowers. The larvae are considered a minor pest and will feed on leguminous plants such as garden beans by eating a small hole into the pods and then devouring the soft seeds within. In captivity when food is scarce the larger larvae will cannibalize smaller ones. Wikipedia
