Hello hello everyone ^^ This is a late post but as usual, I haven't really had time to post this since we got back cuz I was recovering from the hike plus now I have a fever so I have no choice but to rest today XD
So how did your weekends go? Mine was so tiring. I know it's like Tuesday bu I admit that II still made an attempt to at least show up at work yesterday cuz I had reports due and I was convinced that I could recover fast enough to last the whole week XD Joke's on me cuz lol now I'm still recovering from a fever so in the meantime that I am bored out o my mind, lemme tell you about my little weekend getaway!
So This weekend, I was at Mt. Mariglem ([//]:# (!worldmappin 15.12864 lat 120.09748 long d3scr) ). This is my third hike in the area but I have been here before for its rivers and beaches. I'm not really a fan of beaches but I am a fan of this province despite having soooo many beaches around. I actually wanna go for a town tour here one day just to swim around the rivers and do mini hikes but I think I'll have to wait for someone that knows how to drive to take me before I ever get to do that cu ain't no way I'm learning how to drive yet.
The photos there are from just getting to the hike trail XD easy enough to walk bt it's kind of a long walk because it takes about an hour or so before you reach the trail itself. Then from there, it's all uphill ;;-;;
So ifyou look at the Philippine mountain guide and check the difficulty of Mt Mariglem, you'll see that it rounds off as a 4/10 in terms of dificulty. seemed fairy easy, right? well that' what I thought too XD it was a never ending hike all going assault so even with the rest in between, I think you would have needed more training for it. Even for me that usually does cardio on the stairmaster, I don't think that would ever be enough unless I go whole day on it. So all 6 summits/peaks it had were all assaults and it just go higher and higher from there.
I was ambushed by cows along the way though and proud to say that this time, I did not follow them and I did not get lost because my mom was with me and she was making sure I followed the guides XD
I love the shots the guide took of me though it captures all my gym progress XD
The trail really was beautiful though.And everywhere you looked, you could see the mountains because it was avery very open trail. Downside to I being an open trail though is that we had to hike under direct sunlight an needless to say, hiking in the summer like that was ridiculous but so worth it. I did think I was gonna ie on the traverse down though XD cuz it was just that steep and I was nutty thinking I could do the hike in crocs cuz I did it on another mountain. I wl definitely make sure I wear proper shoes next time XD I have definitely learned my lesson after all the blisters I've gained.
Somewhere along the way down, we did reach a river. They called it agbobotilya river and I swear, the water gave me life ;;w;; so maybe the entire hikes wasn't all that bad when you had a river that good to jump in after XD I did jump cuz in the middle, there was a pool that had a 20m depth. Then the jump off was like some 8-7 meters high? and it was really really fun UwU
Needless to say, I was too excited to swim that I didn't take photos of anything river related cuz I was just in the river for like an hour or two XD
After the river, it was just a chill 20 minute walk back to the trail start then we took the kolong kolong ride back to the van drop off for a late lunch.
I met this dog though ad he was reaaalllyyy clingy XD I like him. He keptplacig his paw on my leg no matter how many times I push his leg off XD he wasn't begging for food but apparently he just chooses ho to go to and cling to, as per the ownerand apparently that was me for that day so I was blessed by dog!
Well, that' all there is from me for today! I shall be back as soon as I can when I get better ^^ Istill have work after all, but today I must recover! Hope you guys enjoyed seeing my little adventure this time ^^
