Hoist the colours, proud fiction writers!

So I'm typing during my lunch-break and it revealed to be the wrong idea, more or less like eating a toothpaste sandwich or watching an ONG advert about how good they are in fostering self-combustion. By the way, yesterday I lulled myself all the way back home from the mountains about a story around a very wrong mass advert. Generally, you don't read this part of the article, do you? So I think I should write here about the most important things, or also the stupidest ones.

I love to write open prompts but, after posting it, I realized that this vas very open and, in fact, it represented a challenge for you that which has been reflected in many comments I read. But, like real pros, no one complained and, instead, you gave life to astounding endings. It was truly difficult to judge but I came to a good solution (if @sidequest is benevolent with me and allows me to get away with it by giving him only the popular vote).

Let's congratulate our veterans @sidequest & @marcoriccardi with for receiving a well-deserved vote from the Curie Community on their stories!! Never forget that rewards apart, our care for quality attracts curation and support for everyone 🎊

I was almost forgetting: I'm so happy about the entries that everyone is entitled in receiving 10 FIRE TOKENS.

Now, there is a plethora of news to impart and I have the lunch break end looming over my head like a Damocle's sword so let's get right to it!

What's boiling in the bananafish kitchen?

1st PLACE - 5 STEEM / 500 SNAX / 300 FIRE tokens: @calluna. This time she combined her evocative style with a novel and should I add soberer stylistic consistency. Her entry reminded me of Jo Nesbø.
2nd PLACE - 3 STEEM / 300 SNAX / 100 FIRE tokens: @dirge.
Dirge is Dirge. Words flow from his pen spontaneous and elegant. A well structured adventurous story where he skillfully gave depth to the characters and left us all wondering about the 2000 words version. I would have liked to know more about what he defines the contradictions in the lives of children vs adults.
3rd PLACE - 2 STEEM & 200 SNAX tokens: @marcoriccardi. I don't know how but he managed to insert so much in his ending, which owns to the adventurous vein (while those of Calluna and Sidequest are in the mystery & suggestiveness one if I have to simplify).
POPULAR VOTE - 7 SBI shares: @sidequest.
We did it! Finally, I see some interaction between the participants even in this section! @sidequest wins by popular acclamation and I've to say that he took the contest to another level. My comment: "The story is written with mastery and a mature style. Your pen, like a fine violin, is capable to intercept the many notes of the human soul and their modulation through the life's seasons. The themes unfold through different plans and layers. It's worth mentioning that of the rooting in a place dense of memories. Sense of discovery, adventure, tragedy, impotence, and stasis are all deeply intertwined together, combined with a touch of mystery. Perhaps it's an idealizing leap, but your ending reminded me of the Dubliners, by Joyce."
BEST COMMENT: 3 SBI shares: @marcoriccardi and @calluna. you two decide which one gets 2 and which 1, I'm lazy :-P Thank you guys, you have been my personal litmus test in my judging. I want to say to everyone that this reward doesn't go to those that write the longer comment, don't discourage, make a good curation (which most of all will turn in your favor as here on steemit this is the best thing to do, comment and write with your heart, not for a prize) and you'll get it.

Sustain the @bananafish project through your delegations! We're a selfless inclusive and decentralized community, we put our heart in what we do and a lot of passion and everyone will be abundantly rewarded for their generosity as the @bananafish will keep growing. Here you may find a guide by @marcoriccardi on how to sustain this project.
