Hoist the colours, proud fiction writers!

@ntowl here with this week’s results. I had no idea my idea for the lighter side of Finish the Story would cause such anxiety! However you all managed to meet the challenge (@sarez is forgiven for not seeing it). I enjoyed seeing how you stretched yourselves and proved you’re able to write anything if you set your mind to it. Pure talent is on display here at the Bananafist!

Let's congratulate our veterans @sidequest, @tristancarax, and @calluna for receiving a well-deserved vote from the Curie Community on their stories!! Never forget that rewards apart, our care for quality attracts curation and support for everyone 🎊

1st PLACE - 5 STEEM / 500 SNAX / 300 FIRE tokens: @tristancarax
Despite being the loudest and most disturbed by my request for non-horror endings, he came through by having a story that matched perfectly to the prompt with a cliffhanger ending that left me begging for more.
2nd PLACE - 3 STEEM / 300 SNAX / 100 FIRE tokens: @jadams2k18.
There’s nothing like seeing a story through a child’s eyes. In their ending, we get to be the child of John and hear about the adventure of the Coaster Town job - including how he and Carl burnt it down! It was a perfect blend of the positivity I asked for while still including chaos and destruction.
3rd PLACE - 2 STEEM & 200 SNAX tokens: @dirge.
POOPY FROG. Need I say more? I couldn’t stop laughing at the imagery. And while the positivity of the ending could be argued, the sense of freedom it offered paired with the hilarity of the costume made up for that all.
POPULAR VOTE - 7 SBI shares: We didn’t have enough votes to select a popular winner.
BEST COMMENT: 3 SBI shares: @calluna.
I had a tough time selecting the best comment, but @calluna came through in the attempt to find positivity in @sarez’s story: “Mr Crowder got a happy ending, he gets his show!!” Yes, she found it, even if it is that the antagonist who attacked our heros gets a happy ending. Well done!
