Yesterday I gave myself a new toy - SONY A6000. I don't know why, but I wanted to have a compact, lightweight camera with interchangeable lenses. Why this particular camera? Firstly, I have several lenses that do not cover the full format of my sensor and I have to turn on the APS-C mode. As a result, I still get crop. In the new A6000, I also have a crop, but this crop has a total number of pixels - 24.7 million. This is much more. To what extent this is justified ... let's see, in principle, this can increase the noise of the matrix, but this is not accurate.
In addition, this camera has a full range of modern features. The main ones for me are the magnifier with manual focus adjustment, live view mode, fully manual settings and RAW format. Basically, I don't need anything else. But a modern processor, software and many different features can also be required.
On the way home, I bought a memory card in a stall and could not resist trying this camera in practice. I just looked into one yard and took pictures of what I found there. It turned out that I had a very good look in.
In fact, it was not even a courtyard, but a rather narrow passage between two large streets. But this passage was blocked and occupied by young creative personalities. While I was walking there, I felt like a dinosaur who got into a new era. It was actually a corner of one of the youth subcultures. Graffiti, tattoos, creative forms of self-expression, small cafes for your...
Here, all more or less even walls are turned into paintings. These are all graffiti and many of them are very good.
I didn't have time to check all camera settings. I couldn't wait to shoot. As a result, the shooting was carried out in Jpeg mode and the camera took 3 shots at a time with an exposure step. When processing, I had to combine 3 frames into one in HDR mode in my editor. The photos turned out unusually bright for me, but it suits the graffiti style.
Because of the narrow passage, I had to make a vertical panorama. At the same time, the inevitable distortion appeared. But, again, this is not fatal for graffiti.
I must say that my purchase did not disappoint me. At least for now. It remains now to explore new possibilities and limitations.
