Once we visited the Yusupov garden with you .
Today we will continue our walk through the spring city. It's nice to have water near you. Therefore, we will go along the Griboyedov Canal. But it still needs to be reached.

The circle on the map is the Yusupov Garden. From here we will go towards the canal.

We reached the Ascension Bridge. The Griboyedov Canal is not very wide. It is encased in granite and ancient high houses are reflected in its waters. Please note that all houses are somewhat similar, but each house is unique. There are no two alike. They were built in the 18th and 19th centuries. Some of them were rebuilt inside, but the facades remained the same.

The canal looks narrow compared to the houses, but it is actually quite wide. Pleasure boats and river trams with tourists go along it. In summer it is very busy here.

We chose the sunny side, it is not yet so hot to look for shade. A small breeze blows and he willingly climbs under the clothes. But if there is no wind, sometimes it even gets hot.

Those tourists who sit in this pleasure boat are not at all hot ...

...I think they would sit more comfortably inside, but the outside is much more interesting. It is necessary to sacrifice something, but this is not a big sacrifice, but how much pleasure.

The yellow building at the back of the houses is the Yusupov Palace. In fact, we got from the Yusupov Garden to the Yusupov Palace. Interestingly, next to the palace there is another Yusupov garden ... do not get lost 🤣 😂😅

And this building used to house the military school of the railway troops. Now the conservatory has temporarily moved here, while its main building is being renovated.
A rare sight for a city center in a courtyard. This spruce has managed to grow to a considerable size. Usually poplars, lindens, willows, something deciduous grow in the yards in the city.

It's time to take a break. From this place we did not turn back. We reached the Moika River, but that's another story. We will continue our walk around the city. St. Petersburg is able to surprise and delight. And I hope to show you many interesting places ahead.
See you soon.
