During my trip to Japan I was hosted in several places one of the most beautiful was in Osaka.
I stayed for 3 days in a Japanese family's home; the husband and his wife helped me a lot during my stay.
I don't have many photos of the trip because I had plans to make a miniseries of videos by editing all the records i took. unfortunately the audio in Italian, but if you'd like to see them i posted the first two episodes on 3speak!
When after almost 3 years after the trip i found these photos in the bottom of my gallery i must admit i got a little nostalgic😭
Osaka is such a beautiful city from the big crowded avenues to the small streets where you can find mysterious shops or see salarymen playing Super Mario in gaming rooms as bigger as a closet😂 (they really like to manage space in the most efficient way).
The woman who accompanied me in the last few days is called Atsuko and she was really super nice and very good at cooking traditional dishes like udon and the bitter-sweet eel (unagi) that even now I always look for in the menu of every Japanese restaurant cause it's just too good🤯
she also took me to places i think she never wanted to go, like "Mandarake" that is a shop full of nerd stuff, i must say she was a little pissed off after a certain point😅
one day she had the crazy idea of going on a rickshaw...
and we really did it!😂
Here we are under the tower of Osaka, a secret that i wasn't aware of is that the bottom of the building is a giant mural
Japanese temples are so clean and suggestive. From this dedication one can understand the value of prayer and ancestors for Japanese culture
and here instead we are in front of the Osaka tower in all its glory✨
it was my first time in a rickshaw, running through the streets of Osaka was rad🤯.
I'd like to conclude this post by talking about the fact that many people think japan is a xenophobic country.
This is not true in my opinion, in the majority of cases you will find welcoming and respectful people so curious about your country and culture.
