what is beauty and harmony, with what parameters can it be measured?
can an ugly piece of art be considered beautiful?
in this post I wanted to talk about a small trip to southern Italy from which I returned a few days ago.🕵️♀️
I took some very amateur photos but I think they highlight the "street" side of an area that for some social and technological aspects seems backlogged due to the poverty that the mafia and bad administrators brought.
But there you can find the Italian spirit and its ardor in all its splendor,❤️
let's say that something that makes us recognize in other countries!
we arrived at Molfetta station after a 6-hour journey around 11:30 pm,
the train was half an hour late but the important thing was that we arrived safely at the destination.😅
during the time we arrived the whole city of Molfetta was in mourning.
Rufus is a dog who lived in the city station and had welcomed travelers for 10 years.🐶
it reminded me a lot of the story of the Japanese dog Hachikō🇯🇵, really hope that a statue will be dedicated to him too.
that doggo was indeed an important member of the city.💪
we crossed many small streets to reach our B&B and there wasn't a soul around.👻
By Looking from the back streets you could see many people sitting on the large stone steps of the houses, working on their computer, reading a good or smoking a blunt while contemplating the stars.
The B&B was very vintage furnished with lots of antiques, but we didn't spend much time there.
We went out for a little while while we talked about what we had gone to do there.
My friend had to inherit a car from his relatives and was very excited being his first car!
Also, on the way back, he would have to drive for almost 8 hours.😅
I saw a pretty funny sign that doesn't exist in my region(unfortunately)😂 and a super aesthetic drug store.🏬
Found a lot of (closed😭) places like an arcade "sala giochi" and a fish shop the Pescheria!
Many of these realities are outclassed by larger and more advanced competitors.
that's why almost all of these small shops have closed in my city.
This was a cool cat
This "Terlizzi" a town full of small streets animated by all the balconies which extended over all streets.
Looking up you could see the routine of a lot of people
I liked this building very much, the red color highlights the green of the plants that descend along the balconies.
for a tourist those streets became almost a labyrinth
to go back to the train station we used Google maps because we were completely lost.😅
the city park was a beautiful avenue that covered part of the center
it was a really peaceful place.
This is a typical italian meal👨🍳
the first was obviously the HUGE plate of pasta with tomato soup
like an a scene in a film of Alberto Sordi. 🍝
and that's my travel friend his name is Giovanni but we call him Giò
And the second was a steak of horse meat that i'd never have tasted before, it was pretty good
(sorry bro🐎)
the second day we went to visit Giò's childhood friend.
A 22-year-old boy who gave birth to a daughter and got into very bad turns to bring food home.
we talked about the differences between the two areas, about how the mafia still roams those streets.
But people continue to live not with an attitude of "carelessness" but with courage.🙏
