I think online exams are something that became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before that, people still used online exams, but it was limited. I think after COVID, even online learning platforms became very popular, and some of the bigger universities have started teaching online via online courses. I'm now doing my online course only via one such platform. The experience has been very great so far, and today I had to give a test after the completion of 4 modules. I was a bit nervous because it's been more than a decade since I studied anything or gave exams.

I did my MBA in Project Management, but that was not through a proper B School, and it was only distance education with exams written physically alone. Now I'm taking a 10-month C-suite course from IIM that is keeping me so much occupied, and there is so much to learn from this course and the cohorts. I'm now having a good experience with that. Today, after the completion of 4 modules, I had to give a test, which was an MCQ quiz. One of the modules also had negative marks for wrong answers. It was a bit scary at the start, but I somehow completed it.
I don't think I will be making it through the test because mosly I didn't do well, but I have to wait for the results to see what happened. But overall, the exam experience was different, and they were very strict on how the exams are conducted. They had a third-party team that was taking care of conducting the exams, where the exams had to happen with just one browser and not open other tabs during the exam. The camera and microphone should also stay on during the exam, which was also a new experience for me. I'm doing the course from a proper reputed B-school, so this is the standard that I should anyways be expecting.
