I cannot believe that we are already in the month of August. This year is going very fast, but the price of Hive is continuously going down. I was thinking that before the end of the year the price of Hive would recover, but it appears that it can take longer than that. I didn't expect the Hive price to go below 5 cents. Unfortunately, it is continuously going down. I see a lot of people still investing, but I'm skeptical about it. I continue to hold my Hive, and I don't have any plans on selling my Hive right now. I might as well invest when there is still a chance. But I would do it only with the money that I'm ready to lose.
I powered up 5000 Hive this month as well, similar to last month. I continue to invest in Hive, but we need a miracle to happen. At least in this AI era, some concrete project should pick up on Hive generating revenue from outside. That is currently the hope and belief of everyone. I have some projects in mind, but I don't have the time right now to execute them. Hopefully, in the coming months, I should have something ready. Let's hope for the best. First, I have to work on my existing projects by updating the codebase. It has been a very long time since I did code updates to some of the projects. Now, with AI, we can do wonders.
Last month I was able to be consistent in posting articles every single day. I see this as motivation for myself. I have a rule for myself to write something every day and read something every day. My author rewards are the result of that. Curation rewards are also picking up speed. As the Hive power is growing, the curation rewards are also getting bigger. Imagine if the price of Hive hits 1$ at a later point in time; I think it will end up fruitful for all the investors. We just have to tap the right market to be able to become a famous coin in just one day. Hope that happens someday.
The witness earnings are very poor right now, and many witnesses have turned off their node. Many witnesses are running their node in loss, as the cost is not even covering the server cost. I have a plan to switch to self-hosting the node in my home lab soon. I have been thinking about this for a very long time. If I do that, it will only be the electricity bill that I would be paying. Hopefully it can become somewhat cost-effective. Let's see.
