It has been a while since I played some serious games on my laptop. Most of the time goes in coding or doing my regular stuff on my laptop. Even though my laptop has good specs to play games, it's been a while. I do play some games on my mobile phone though. One of my friends shared this information. I remember last year too he shared something similar but I did not download and play that game. Now it is tempting.
It appears that usually, this happens towards the end of the year. Epic Games will give away some games for free. This year it is Tomb Raider. Of course, they will not give away games that are newly released and very popular. They will giveaway only the games that are pretty old I believe or maybe the ones that are new to Epic Games. But whatever be the case, it is good to get stuff for free right. Many people don't know about this and that's why wanted to share this information. This information can be attractive for gamers who would be willing to try out new games.
I have seen games available for a discounted price but not something that is for free. I remember getting something for free from UBI soft but it was long back and I don't even remember the exact details. It appears to be a good strategy to get some new users onboarded to Epic Games. People might create logins and start downloading this game. Maybe later they might purchase other games with real money. That's a good opportunity for Epic games and that's probably one of the reasons why they are giving away stuff for free.
In my case, I'm going to be getting all these three games for now and adding them to my library. I'm not going to download the game and play the game right now. The main reason is that I will end up playing the game and not doing any task. All my works will go pending which is not very good. Keeping the game in the library will let me own the game and maybe when I find enough time to try out new games, I can download these games and play them. So, anyone who feels they will waste their productivity on these games should also do the same. Probably get the game when it is available for free and download the game later when we have enough time to play.
There are also other places where we can get games for a discounted price and sometimes for free too. Steam is also offering some games for a discounted price right now. It is good to make use of these free opportunities. The free sale of Tomb Raider ends by tomorrow on the Epic Games website. After you get the game, it stays in the library and you can download it whenever you want. I'm also guessing this is applicable only for the Windows platform. I'm glad that I didn't get rid of windows completely. Maybe even if I switch to Linux, I should have windows running alongside that at least for these reasons.
