By now we would have heard a lot about COVID-19 from many sources. Our world is experiencing one of the biggest issues in mankind. I have heard about similar viruses hitting mankind and doing a mass killing in the past but I'm very sad to see that happening during my lifetime as well. When I hear the experiences of my friends from another part of the world, I feel very bad and sorry for them.
We currently don't have a rapid spreading or serious problem in India but if there is going to be even a little carelessness, I guess things can turn really bad in India. I'm very happy that the government is understanding the seriousness of this problem and trying to help people by imposing strong rules on the people and trying to make people stay isolated as much as possible. But in my opinion, it is not going to solve anytime soon.
When will we see a solution?
I guess the increase in a number of cases cannot be controlled unless a strong vaccination or cure is identified for this. Now the government of India has asked every individual to stay home for at least a minimum of 21 days. But practically if we think in-depth, I don't think the situation can come to control in these 21 days. But definitely this will prevent rapid spreading. But even after this timeline, there should be a strong restriction imposed so that it doesn't affect anyone after this strong isolation.
Even at a later point in time if there is just one individual with positive symptoms of the disease, there is a high possibility that it can spread and bring huge numbers of affected victims. We can take precautions and try to be as safe as possible but safety is assured only after the introduction of a proper vaccine or a cure.
Wiser to be cautious and careful than to be hasty
When the government and other people talk about the seriousness of this issue, there are still people who are very careless about this and they roam in the streets. I saw videos in the news where Police attack people who come out of their house to the streets just for no reason. Some people don't understand the seriousness. I heard that in one of the countries the virus was spread to a big lot of people just from one lady. Everything was because of carelessness. 1 lady affecting 5000 people is completely ridiculous and uncontrollable.
I would recommend following the government protocol and stay inside the house until we find a solution to this problem. There is also no point in arguing with anyone about the root cause of this problem. We have had it and now it is our responsibility to get rid of this disease from mankind. Until we find a proper solution for this or a cure for this, we can call ourselves safe only if the virus is completely gone from everyone in this world which is a very tough thing to imagine.
