Puthia of Rajshahi district in the northern part of Bangladesh has a historic Rajbari and a number of monumental temples. Puthiya is also called the temple town. See these ancient installations in the pictures.
Shiva temple
Shiva Mandir, the name of this large temple at the entrance of the Puthia Rajbari entrance pond. The queen of Putha Bhubanmohini Devi founded it in 1823. This Shiva temple, 65 feet long, is built on a tall foundation. There are four gates at the four corners and a gem in the center. One room in the double room and the verandah in two layers around the temple. Inside the main cell there is a huge Shiva linga of stone.
