Hello guys! This is my first time joining a blog. I've recently started my own Splinterlands account. I wanna say that I used to play Splinterlands a few years back when play to earn games were still like Axie Infinity and others like that. My good friend gave me one of his Splinterlands account to play with and I really enjoyed playing. I kind of remember the Djinn Oshanus as my favorite card as it can win me many battles.
After a few years, that same friend invited me to play Splinterlands again and told me about a new player promotion. It was from Brave Tofu and he thought it was a great deal for me.
What I like about this offer the most is that Brave Tofu lends me 50,000 SPS which is needed in order to earn in the game. He also gives a good number of cards for one month and I was able to win a lot of games thanks to those cards. The promotion also mentions that I will be given five packs once I spend $100 in the game but I don't know when I will reach that amount. So when I started playing after buying spell book, I opened the free packs that I received. I also bought a few more starter packs coming from the dec and credits that I had from buying the spell book. I thought the summoners were the most important part of the game because they control the level of cards you use in the game. But out of the ten starter packs that I opened I only obtained two pieces of summoners which was Fithe Bladestone and Gorgug the Endless. I thought I was getting more like four or five for opening ten packs.
Playing the modern game was not so hard for me as I had my friend coaching me what to pick and the card combos. I must say that the cards now are very different from when I played Splinterlands many years ago. I think the design and art was also more beautiful and modern. I also receive a few chest rewards when I move up in the rankings. It gives an additional feeling of happiness for me and encouragement to do better and move higher.
As for the cards, I begin to like the Ulunds more and use them a lot. The Ulunds are like hippopotamus looking creatures and I rarely see those kinds on fantasy games. They are also very strong but the downside is they need a lot of mana points to use.
Thanks to Brave Tofu for lending me a level 4 Bella Ratajowlski as a summoner. This is the one I use a lot and won many matches with it. I think the level difference is also an advantage as I sometimes encounter lower level enemies and the abilities of their cards are not fully unlocked yet. For the front I use Mystic mudbinder because of the void armor and it has high armor and health. I pair it with Calabash sage for healing and Bludgeon hucker as well if there is still more mana left.
I've now reached silver 2 rank and the season is ending soon. My plan for now is to continue playing when I am available in order to not waste the energy that regenerate only up to 50. I do sometimes forget to play a few matches in a day which is a waste of energy when it is already full. I would also need to buy more cards especially summoners when Brave Tofu ends the lending of cards.
