To make this bait all you will need is one cup of flour, one cup of corn meal, one cup of water and any amount of anise oil you desire to add to your bait. Anise oil smells like black licorice and can be found in the baking aisle at any store. You can choose any liquid scent your heart desires. In fact you may want to try vanilla, maple, strawberry or some other scent. Get creative and find out which one works best at your favorite fishing hole!
Begin by adding the desired amount of liquid scent to one cup of water. Place this concoction in a pan and bring it to a boil. As the water is heating up, mix your flour and corn meal together. Once the water comes to a boil, add the flour and corn meal mixture and stir until it soaks up all of the liquid. Remove the bait from the stovetop and allow it to cool until you can handle it without getting burned. Now place some flour on a cutting board and knead it until it has the consistency of a good dough bait.
