(EN)Diary of an nursery nurse 14.10.2019

Monday is the day I'm actually at work from 8:30 - 16:30. But Monday is also the day after the weekend. But the weekend also means that as an educator I probably cracked the corks and therefore sometimes I'm not that fit.

Weekend also means that you notice exactly which child is busy at home. There are different possibilities of education. Patiently and perseveringly to occupy the child by parking it in front of a television to get its own peace. There are possibilities to do a meaningful occupation with the child and to sit down together in front of the TV. But sometimes you have the possibility to simply do nothing.

No matter how, these children will make life quite exhausting for the suffering educator on Monday. That's how it is in life, sometimes you lose and sometimes the others win.

But there are also parents who do something with the children and force them to quit by walking for hours and Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the child on Monday really needs its rest.

Seriously, both are not very cool. It doesn't matter how you turn it around, there doesn't seem to be a healthy middle way anymore, either over or under challenged on weekends.

For us that means finding solutions. Some children motivate, others slow down. Great!!!!!

But tomorrow is Tuesday and Tuesday is fine again. Wednesday is even better.

Problem with today's situation! We celebrated birthday and at the same time the birthday child was a newcomer who became 3 years old.

His sister is already visiting our institution, which of course makes the acclimatization phase much easier. Now due to the special situation we have decided today to let the newcomer explain all the rules to the children and then enjoy the beautiful weather in the classic free game.

Our rules in the forest are quite simple anyway! We don't beat each other, we help each other, there are limits which children can cross only with an adult, we respect plants and animals. All rules from the children, which they actually take 100% seriously and implement.

Now and tomorrow, tomorrow it will become more normal again and we start the topic snails. So I am curious what will come from the kids. I will report.

Have a nice evening!
