The total solar eclipse that was visible in the sky across Mexico, the United States and Canada on April 8 has completed its journey over continental North America. This year's path of totality is 115 miles (185 kilometers) wide and home to nearly 32 million Americans, with an additional 150 million living less than 200 miles from the strip.
Those squarely along the center line of the path of totality saw an eclipse that lasted between 3.5 and 4 minutes, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
