Simple Notes is a handy app for making quick notes. This app comes with an autosave features to avoid changes by mistake, has a customizable and resizable widget which open the app on click and lastly, it contains no adds as it is a fully open source.
Components
Trash can - Stores deleted notes and to have a selection whether to restore or delete a file permanently.
Proposal
I propose to add a Trash can feature to enable the users to restore notes deleted by mistake and to have an assurance that you will have a backup of that note whenever you delete it unless you delete it permanently. Upon clicking the trash can option you will see the list of the notes that are deleted. There is a permanently delete note button on the right to delete a note permanently and if you want to restore a note you have deleted, you will just click the note and a restore option appears.

I believe if the proposed features are implemented:
It enables users to keep and restore for later or permanently delete notes that are note useful anymore.
It will enable the users to restore notes deleted by mistake.
It will serve as a backup whenever you will need to use that deleted note again.
