There were also cultural activists who came to show a cultural competition to beat Rap'ie and introduce him to the younger generation, as well as visitors who came to Lhok Moen Puteh village, Muara Dua sub-district, Lhokseumawe. their arrival there to see a traditional musical performance.
Namely Rapa鈥焛 a percussion instrument that is quite unique.
The musicians are also quite large, numbering twenty to thirty people.
Before the game started, I saw a number of musicians busy checking the sound of the rapa'ie and tuning the rapa'ie so that the desired sound sounded beautiful.
The musicians can be seen from the obedient community, adults and teenagers who sit in a row holding the traditional rapa'ie instrument that is ready to be beaten as loud as possible.
Exactly at 10.00 WIB the match started and was greeted with the beat of Rapai and the cheers of the audience.
In my mind the event lasted for a moment. It turned out that the match lasted until the early hours of the morning. And it is a tradition that has been preserved to this day.
