Wendel Lilypickle
Unlike the others in his tribe, Wendel longed for adventure.
The books he read as a child had given him a sense of wonder for the outside world, yet he had seen none of it. The swamp was his home, it always had been and to leave would be suicide, as it lay in the middle of a desert that stretched as far as the eye could see. They were trapped there, isolated from the world with nothing to do but laze in the cool waters, retelling stories of dangers that lay beyond the confines of their treasured home.

Wendel had grown weary of hearing about brave heroes and fearless adventurers. He would create his own stories.
Of course, when he stood in front of the whole tribe and proclaimed "I will leave the swamp and explore the world!" everyone laughed.
No frog-man or woman had ever set foot outside the swamp. The desert was a treacherous place, unfit for the soft squishy bodies of frogs who needed plenty of moisture to survive.

During the next months, he set to work creating his means of escape. He constructed a suit from large Molp leaves lined with moss, to keep his skin moist under the scorching sun and built a sand sleigh to carry bottles of water with him for hydration.
He left the swamp in the dead of night, careful not to make a sound, his departure would be a mystery.

In the years to come, Wendel made a name for himself as a kindhearted adventurer who didn't think twice to risk his life for that of any fellow living being!
Stories were told about his kind deeds and crazy adventures, and they spread across the land reaching far and wide, until, they ended up in the swamp.. his home.

Hey guys I'm currently working on a fantasy world full of characters like Wendel Lilipickle and their stories.
It's something I've been wanting to do for a while and I'm finally getting round to it!

Thanks for taking a look!
