Yeah it is pretty crazy! And the weather before a rain? Oh.. I think I get what you mean cause it's usually cloudy beforehand and that cools things down a bit, cept here where I live the storms can move through so fast that right before a rain it can be cook food on the pavement temperatures. I like the weather right after a rain! Except, once again the storm can move through so quick it's right back to searing temperatures shortly after a rain, lol.

I think the very anticipation that something beautiful is about to happen is just as exciting as the thing itself. Your place sounds like a challenging one to live in, haha! But I'm sure the view before and after the rain makes it worth it.

I live about a 10 mile drive from the nearest city, out in the wilderness... But not too far away from civilization! It's a nice area. Though kinda hard to meet people sometimes.

I think it suits you. Even though it might get hard to meet new people, the solitude makes up for it. Neither too far from the city to not meet needs, nor too close that the distraction is bothersome.

I tend to agree. I mean in some cases I can understand it, though when some people don't have water to drink and you have water for cosmetic visually appealing plants it seems a bit unfortunate for those who don't have the water.

It's okay to feel bad for people, but tbh, misfortune will always remain no matter what generation it is. The best we can do is to try and minimize the water we waste and help non-profits in making it available for everyone. And the stats are actually improving as far as I've seen. The poverty rate in the world has never been this low and more and more people today have access to clean drinking water.

Yet most people in the industrialized world would probably struggle or even die before too long if the power suddenly went out. So we really are more dependant on the community than many realize.

There's a saying in my cast that goes something like: "Your neighbors are your family next door." It is simply expected from neighbors to help each other. Not just in emergencies but in every day life situations like borrowing spices and stuff. That's the kind of bond we need to build now more than ever.

I didn't mean to imply that there isn't a place for games and entertainment, if it came out that way I apologize. What I meant was more that some(many) people do games and entertainment without helping others at all. I think balance is good, play some games, do some entertainment AND help others.
Also, it's good to hear you've been seeing more volunteers! Maybe things are improving. I hope so.

Lol you don't need to apologize buddy, it's cool. And yeah, I do agree with you. Everyone deserve a good entertainment time, but we should also keep in mind that we have a responsibility to look after each other as human beings.
