Another one of my go-to art styles/themes is Mandala. I have given this a fair amount of thought as to why I like creating these so much? And I have found that I like the mystery of it. By mystery I mean, the art style has only one rule (in my mind anyway), that it goes in Circle. There are generally no decisions involved and I go on with my whims. With the style, I rarely have any expectations or a picture in my head as to what is it going to turn out like, hence the 'mystery'.
Besides the geometry, I like the fact that I easily go in the flow state while in the process. The experience is very immersive and time simply flies by.
