This is in continuation of a simple exercise that I do to explore letterforms quickly. Exploring a particular letter, here - 'C' & 'J', and sketching them out with the play of lines. What I love about doing this is the surprise. When I am surprised by my own creation, because of lack of an idea to begin with.
I think this is what I like most about art/creativity. It's almost mysterious. While I am the one creating, I am also the one who doesn't know what will emerge in a way. This isn't always the case, but I absolutely love when it happens.
Even in a field like typography and lettering, where the alphabets have a certain definite structure and form as they are essentially symbols used to communicate, there's a whole lot of room for creativity.
