PRAISING GOD
We also worship when we praise God by speaking or singing about how good and powerful God is.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Peter 2:9
Born-again believers in the finished work of Christ on the cross were chosen to declare the praises of our savior both as individuals and corporately when we gather in His name.
Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals; praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psalm 150:1-6
The psalmist tells us how, why, and who should praise God. We praise Him for his mighty acts and greatness. We praise God with instruments and dancing. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!
