THEME: THE MAKING OF DISCIPLES!

MEMORISE:
“And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

READ: Matthew 28:18-20
18.And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All Power is given unto Me in Heaven and in Earth.

1. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in The Name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Ghost:
2. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I Am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen!

MESSAGE
A. A Disciple is a disciplined follower of Jesus Christ, committed to The Life and Principles of God’s Kingdom which Jesus Christ came to teach and demonstrate on earth.

1. When He was leaving the earth, The Lord Jesus Christ instructed those who were already His Disciples to make Disciples of all nations of the world.
2. Why is it necessary to make people Christ’s Disciples, and how do we make Disciples of people?
3. What does the kingdom of God stand to gain when people are made Disciples of Jesus Christ?
4. These are questions worth our consideration.
5. We are to make Disciples of all nations of the world because it is The Lord’s commandment.
6. The Lord commanded us to do this because He wants to reconcile all mankind back to God.
7. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us The Word of Reconciliation.”

B. After a lost soul has experienced The New-Birth in Christ God expects that a systematic teaching of His Word will follow in order to transform The New Believer into The Image of Jesus Christ.

1. For this reason, The Holy Spirit in Isaiah 28:9-10 says: “Whom shall He teach knowledge? And whom shall He make to understand Doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:”
2. One characteristic of a genuinely born-again fellow is the desire to grow through God’s word.
3. 1 Peter 2:2-3 “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”
4. Such a person should therefore not be starved of The Sound Teaching of The Word.
5. If you have led a person to Christ, it should be your desire to see that person grow into The Stature of The Son of God.
6. Ephesians 4:13-15 “Till we all come to The unity of The faith and of The knowledge of The Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of The Stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking The truth in love, may grow up in all Love, may grow up in all things into Him Who is The Head—Christ!

C. The Church and the world stand to gain Peace as the number of The Disciples of The Prince of Peace increases.

1. Terrorism will be eliminated.
2. There would be no Al-Qaeda, ISIS or Boko Haram sects.
3. Murder, drug addiction, homosexuality and other acts of sin will become unpopular.
4. Police stations and prison yards will perpetually be on holiday.
5. The earth will become a paradise.
6. This will come to fulfillment, because The Lord Jesus Christ, in Matthew 6:10, taught us to pray thus:
7. Matthew 6:10 “Your Kingdom come. Your Will be done On Earth as it is in Heaven.”

ACTION POINT:
Put up A Soul Winning Outreach in your locality! Arrange an effective House-Fellowship where your potential converts will be taught The Rudimentary Tenets of The Christian Faith and begin to Disciple people.

Prayer Points on Today's Open Heavens: (Saturday, February 24, 2018) - THE MAKING OF DISCIPLES

1. Thank you, Jesus, for leaving your glory in heaven, to take the form of man, and for the privilege and honour of being one of your disciples.

2. Thank you, Father, for all that you have taught me and for the grace to abide and grow in you.

3. Father, in anyway, l have fallen short of your glory, please, have mercy and forgive me, in Jesus' name.

4. Father, give me the grace to deny myself, take my cross and follow you, daily, in Jesus' name.

5. Father, empower me to obey you in all things, particularly, your command that I should go into all Nations, to teach and make disciples of them, in Jesus' name.

6. Father, let your kingdom come and let your Will be done on earth, as it is in heaven, in Jesus' name.

7. Prince of Peace, use me as your disciple to subdue all the destructive activities of terrorists and satanic agents, and let your perfect peace be established, all over the world, in Jesus' name.

8. Father, as you have transformed my life, use me to transform others too, to reflect your perfect image, in Jesus' name.

9. Father, provide, protect, bless and reward all your missionaries, all over the world, who have heeded your call, "to go and teach all Nations", in Jesus' name.

10. Father, cause revival to break again in our time; let there be signs and wonders, that will fast-track the conversion of souls and the works of the kingdom, in Jesus' name.

11. Father, let all the labours of your son, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, in the discipling of men for you, endure forever, and be rewarded, in Jesus' name.
